San Agustin, St. Anthony in WVL final

MANILA, Philippines - Colegio San Agustin-Makati and School of St. Anthony sent two teams each into the finals of two divisions of the Best Center-organized 21st Women’s Volleyball League over the weekend.

But focus will be on their championship meeting for the 13-Under Developmental Division set at 8:15 a.m. on Sunday at the San Beda College gym. Battle for third place betwee School of the Holy Spirit and St. Paul Colllege-Makati is set at 8 a.m. in an adjacent court.

CSA outlasted St. Paul, 25-19, 22-25, 15-12, to set up the championship match with SSA, which crushed Holy Spirit, 25-19, 25-12, in their own semis meeting.

CSA also crushed Jubilee Christian Academy, 25-16, 26-24, in the semis for the right to meet King’s Montessori School, which demolished Escuela de Sophia, 25-20, 25-19, in the final match of the 13-U Competitive Division at 9:15 a.m.

The 17-U Developmental Division crown will be contested by St. Paul College-Makati, which bounced SSA, 25-17, 25-19, and St. Pedro Poveda College, which clipped CSA, 25-16, 25-21. They play at 10:15 a.m.

King’s Montessori-A and San Pedro Relocation Center National High School will battle for the 17-U Competitive Division title at 11:15 a.m.
