Chan, two others top jungolf tourney

MANILA, Philippines - Aidric Chan, Josh Jorge, Sean Granada dominated their respective divisions to lead the winners in The Junior Golfers League (TJGL) 12th anniversary tournament in various courses recently

Chan posted rounds of 52 and 48 for a 100-point total to beat Karl dela Torre by 18-points, Jorge also chalked up 100 points on rounds of 43 and 44 for a seven-point romp over Jolo Magcalayo while Granada did 43-44 for 87 points and an 11-point win over Sean Ramos in the tournament backed by the International Container Terminal Services, Inc. and Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines as major sponsors.

Joining Jorge and Granada as boys’ winners in the event played at the Intramuros, Navy and Army courses on separate days were Joseph Orbito in Class A, Jet Hernandez in Class E, Andrew Chua in Class F, Rocco Pineda in Class G and John Catalan in the special division.

Rev Alcantara, Nicole Abelar, Arnie Taguines, Monique Arroyo, Alexi Blanco and Keena Puzon also emerged as girls champions in the event backed by the First Gentleman Foundation, Inc., Oakley, FERN-C, Mayor Mhylyn Cayabyab, Rep. Mikey Arroyo, Gov. Victor Yap, Transtech Shuttle Service, CAN-TINO, Felix Chua, Merwin Tee, Jesse Ang, Bobby Pineda, ForeGolf,  Engr. George Quan, Martin Lazatin, Michelle Serrano, Rom Hernandez, Boy Tolentino, Jojo Subido and Thads Abalos.

In the parents division, Jojo Abad finished 10 points clear of Bing Alcantara, Jomar Espanola and Joey Magcalayo while Angela Arroyo also had the same winning margin in the ladies division.
