Federal Land cagefest starts today

MANILA, Philippines - The first Federal Land Manila Mayor Lim Cup Inter-School Mini-Olympic League opens today at the Dapitan Sports Complex in Sampaloc, Manila.

Organized by the Philippine Schools Athletic Association in cooperation with Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim and the Manila Sports Council Chairman Paul Edward Almario, 1st District Councilor Niño dela Cruz and Fusion Advertising Marketing Hub, the league drew 12 participating schools – Ernesto Rondon High School, St. Joseph College of QC, UST, Escuela De Sophia of Caloocan Inc., Claret School, St. Anthony Academy of QC, King Montessori School, St. Vincent School, Malayan Science and Technology High School, PWU-JASMS and Don Bosco-Mandaluyong.

The tournament starts at 8 a.m with a brief opening ceremony with invited guests Deputy Mayor Joey Silva, PSAA chairman Roland Lim, PSAA president Philip Sio, PSAA marketing director John Tan, tournament director Abe Giron and major backers Federal Land Inc., Oishi and Unilever.

The tournament starts with a 3-on-3 basketball among the participating schools.
