MCC chess slated

MANILA, Philippines - The MCC Pamaskong Handog for 1900 below category and kiddies 14-under chessfest will be held on Saturday and Sunday starting at 12:30 p.m. at the Eton Cyberpod Corinthian at Edsa cor Ortigas Ave. across Robinson Galeria.

The 1900 category, a seven-round Swiss system event, is open to beginners, unrated and rated players whose NCFP ratings are not over 1900. The kiddies tourney, on the other hand, will be played over six rounds.

Games for the 1900 below will start at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday.
