QCinema 7 years na!

SEEN: Si Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte ang nagbigay ng welcome speech sa opening night ng 7th QCinema International Film Festival noong Linggo sa Gateway Mall. Ang QCinema International Film Festival ang isa sa mga proyekto ni Mayor Joy na sinimulan nito noong vice mayor pa lamang siya ng Quezon City. 

SEEN: “Since its inception seven years ago, I’ve seen the phenomenal progress of this festival.

“QCinema has grown and expanded into something bigger. We have successfully passed the period of infancy and is now fast approaching a more mature and challenging phase.

“With QCinema being officially lined up with the calibres of Berlin, Busan and Tokyo, we have always challenged ourselves to expand and to diversify in order to meet the expectations of our growing patrons.

“The Rising Wave theme is timely this year, citing the growth of Asian and Filipino filmmakers making rounds in the world cinema scene. It’s also signifies the increasing number of women showcasing their films in QCinema,”ang bahagi ng opening remarks ni Mayor Joy sa 7th QCinema International Film Festival na may theme na Rising Wave.

SEEN: Natuwa ang mga dumalo sa opening night ng 7th QCinema dahil sa libreng popcorn at bottled water na ibinigay sa kanila habang pinapanood nila ang opening film, ang Untrue ng Viva Films at The Idea First Company. Sina Cristine Reyes at Xian Lim ang lead actors ng Untrue na dinirek ni Sigrid Andrea Bernardo na kinunan ang karamihan sa mga eksena sa Tbilisi, Georgia. Hindi dumalo si Xian sa special screening. Kung sumipot si Xian, narinig sana niya ang mga papuri sa kanyang mahusay na pagganap sa pelikula nila ni Cristine. Rebelasyon siya sa Untrue.

SCENE: Mapangahas ang mga eksena sa Untrue tulad ng love scenes nina Xian at Cristine at ang nude scene ng sexy star na si Rhen Escano. ito ang isa sa mga mabigat na pelikula na ginawa ni Cristine at gaya ni Xian, nagampanan din niya nang buong husay ang challenging role na ipinagkatiwala sa kanya.
