Sam nag-audition para sa international project

Kababalik lamang ni Sam Milby noong isang linggo mula sa Australia kung saan ay ilang shows ang ginawa niya roon. Kahapon ay muling lumipad si Sam papuntang New Jersey naman para sa ilang shows din. Nakatakda ring maki­pagkita ang aktor sa ilang American network executives para sa isang proyekto.

“I’ve already met them earlier this year. I’ll be having four meetings with them on Monday while I am in New Jersey,” pahayag ni Sam.

Paano kaya nagkaroon ng pagkakataon ang binata na mapasok sa tinutukoy na international project?

“They are looking for an Asian guy. They watched the Star Magic tour in LA (Los Angeles, California) earlier this year and they had other agents who watched me in New York as well. After that, they asked me to come back to audition. It just so happened that my movie with KC Concepcion (Forever and a Day) had a screening in New York, so doon ako nag-audition, good timing,” kuwento pa ni Sam.

“I don’t know what type of show it is, but I found out that the show ended up being transferred to another network, but the network’s really helping out a lot. I went to the network, I read a script and they just recorded it. Siyempre I was nervous, it was a big network. Korean ’yung isang actor na nag-audition. It was down to two of us at that time,” dagdag ng binata.

Tuluyan na kayang iiwan ni Sam ang kanyang showbiz career dito sa Pilipinas kung sakaling matuloy na ang kanyang project sa ibang bansa?

“Siyempre ’yun ang pangarap ko pero hindi ko alam if I am open to work abroad. It looks promising, I’m just really hopeful. Kung sakaling meron akong work doon, next year pa naman. So, tapos na ang Alta (bagong teleserye ni Sam) at ’yung movie ko with Bea Alonzo,” pagtatapos ni Sam.

DEREK idinenay ang malaking offer ng TV5

Isa rin si Derek Ramsay sa mga Kapamilya stars na sinasabing mayroong malaking halagang ino-offer sa kanya para lumipat sa ibang TV network. Isyung agad namang hinarap ng hunk actor.

“Wala pa. Wala pang specific number or anything that was offered to me. I have been approached, yes, but like I said, I won’t entertain anything unless my contract is expired. So even with ABS-CBN, hindi pa ako nakipag-upo para makipag-negotiate for a new contract. But with the other network, wala pang specific na bigay sa akin,” pagtatapat ni Derek.

Sa February 2012 pa mag-e-expire ang kanyang kontrata kaya hindi pa rin malinaw sa kanya kung ano ang mga susunod na mangyayari.

“We’ll see what happens. Right now I still have the projects that I have with ABS-CBN. I have to fulfill and do all my responsibilities to my mother network right now so I can’t entertain anything,” paglilinaw ni Derek.  — Reports from JAMES C. CANTOS
