'Kakampi' celebrates 1st birthday

-
Kakampi, ang weekly television show na napapanood tuwing Linggo, 2:00 to 3:00 n.h. celebrates its first birthday.

With child advocate and now senatorial candidate Jamby Madrigal as host, ang programa ay isang youth-oriented public service show na nagpapakita ng plight ng Filipino children.

Kakampi is composed of various segments like "Patama" which takes potshots at real-life events, people and places that affect children. Dinadala naman ng "Kakamping Jamby" ang manonood around the country to various outreach programs, government agencies. Sa "Pulsuhan" makikita ang kambal na sina Joyce at Jollen Celestino discussing with their fellow youth issues that concern them. "Iba Ka, Pinoy" trains the spotlight on exceptional children who have won other people’s admiration for their outstanding skills and talents. It also features outstanding achievers who can serve as role models for children. "Showbiz Chika" sees veteran media personality Tita Swarding interview the who’s who in showbusiness.

Sa ngayon si The bubbly Jackie Maniquis ang kumuha ng role ni Jamby na kumakandidato.

Jamby has anchored Kakampi on strong ground. This is in the strong belief that children are much more than being the future. "Children are the present," she says. "If you do not invest in our children today, they will not be the better citizens you envisioned. If you do not educate, if you do not build the foundations today, we cannot have a better future because we are not investing in the present which are our children," ani Jamby na itinuturing na youngest senatorial candidate of the LDP-Puwersa ng Masa.
