DOH inilabas ang kwalipikasyon sa pag-hire ng COVID contact tracers
MANILA, Philippines — Nakikipagtulungan ang Department of Health (DOH) sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa emergency hiring ng contact tracers sa pagpapalakas ng kanilang hakbang sa pakikipaglaban sa coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) sa bansa.
Sinabi ni DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire sa isang COVID-19 virtual presser na makatutulong ang hakbang na ito sa mga nawalan ng trabaho dahil sa pandemic at kasalukuyang naghahanap ng trabaho.
“We have proposed the following qualifications to them (DILG) when they hire. These include being allied medical professionals such as a nurse, or at least a graduate or an undergraduate of an allied medical course,” saad ni Vergeire.
“We have also suggested the following to include in data gathering, and being able to interview cases and close contacts to gather data on travel history and conduct a health assessment and advocating public health because they need to provide health education messages as well,” dagdag pa niya.
Nakiusap din ang DOH sa DILG na ikonsidera rin ang paghingi ng tulong sa barangay health workers at social workers bilang suporta sa national response laban sa COVID-19.
Nakapagproseso na ng 204 facility requests ang DOH para sa emergency hiring ng karagdagang health workers at inaprubahan na ang 8,606 na slot para sa pag-hire sa 204 na ospital, quarantine facilities, Philippine Arena COVID-19 facility at Quezon City Institute temporary quarantine facility.
