Balik-eskuwela ipagpaliban hangga’t walang vaccine

MANILA, Philippines — Hangga’t hindi pa nakakahanap ang pamahalaan ng bakuna laban sa COVID-19 ay ipagpaliban muna ang pagbabalik eskuwela o opening ng klase sa mga pampubliko at pribadong eskuwelahan sa bansa.

Ito ang sinabi ni De­puty Speaker at 3rd District Pampanga Rep. Aurelio Gonzales Jr., sa inihain niyang House Resoluton No. 876 na ini-refer na sa Defeat COVID-19 Committee Co-Chaired nina Speaker Alan Peter Ca­yetano at Majority Leader Martin Romualdez.

Nilalayon ng nasabing resolusyon ang mabilisan at kolektibong hakbang para sa Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Higher Education, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority at Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infection Diseases (IATF-EID) upang suspen­dehin ang pagbubukas ng klase.

Anya, para sa kaligtasan ng mga estudyante at maging ng mga guro ay kailangan munang makahanap ng vaccine kontra COVID-19 at dapat ay nasa national drug formulary na ito ng bansa.

“Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the DepEd has set the official opening of the incoming school year on Aug. 24, 2020 until April 30, 2021. Although the education department encourages distance learning through the internet at the start of the school calendar, this is not possible in the provinces where telecommunications signals are weak”, wika ni Gonzales.

Sinabi pa nito na mapag-iiwanan ang mga  estudyante sa probinsya na walang internet sa online learning.
