Juan at Javi Gomez De Liaño magpapalakas sa kampanya ng Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards sa susunod na MPBL season

MANILA, Philippines — Dalawang dating kamador ng University of the Phi­lippines Fighting Maroons ang magdadala sa laban ng Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards sa susunod na season ng Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).

Kakampanya ang magkapatid na sina Juan at Javi Go­mez de Liaño para sa Rice Vanguards, ayon kay head coach Charles Tiu.

Sinabi ni Tiu na ang paghugot sa mag-utol na Gomez De Liaño ay bahagi ng ginagawang pagpapalakas ng Nueva Ecija team.

Makakatulong ni guard Jai Reyes ang magkapatid na Gomez De Liaño sa backcourt ng Rice Vanguards.

Hindi rin magiging isyu ang chemistry sa pagsama ng magkapatid sa koponan ni Tiu.

Naglaro na sina Juan at Javi para kay Tiu sa Mighty Sports Philippine team na nagkampeon sa nakaraang 2020 Dubai International Basketball Championship.

Maliban sa Gomez De Liaño brothers ay nakuha rin ng Rice Vanguards ang isa pang Novo Ecijano na si da­ting PBA player Renz Palma.

Dating naglaro si Palma para sa Alaska Aces at kilalang high leaper.

Samantala, inihayag naman kamakailan ni Palayan City Mayor Rianne Cuevas na magpapagawa sila ng isang makabagong sports arena na magsisilbing home court ng mga Rice Vanguards.

“Its about time that Nueva Ecija has its own arena to host tournaments like the MPBL and at the same time showcase the beauty of our province to cities and provinces who will play in our sports Areana,” paha­yag ni Cuevas. “At the same time, our thousand of bas­ketball fans will not have to travel 5 hours to watch games of our home team the Rice Vanguards.”
