Westbrook tinulungang mag-propose ang isang fan
MANILA, Philippines - Habang nagrerekober si Oklahoma City All-Star Russell Westbrook mula sa kanyang inoperahang paa na napunit ang meniscus sa first round series ng Thunder kontra sa Houston Rockets, tinulungan niya ang isang fan na mag-propose sa kanyang girlfriend sa pamamagitan ng Twitter.
Ang unang date ng Thunder fan na si Charlie Bright at ng kanyang fiancée na si Rachel Haycraft ay sa isang OKC game kaya ang kanyang proposal ay Thunder-style. Nagpatulong si Bright kay Westbrook sa kanyang proposal.
“I thought a really cool way to combine the two would be for Russell, or somebody on the team to ask her on Twitter or something to propose,†kuwento ni Bright. “So I messaged him on Facebook earlier in the week and just made in bold print the words “marriage proposal†because I’m sure he gets a lot of messages I wanted it to jump out.
Sabi pa ni Charlie, “The first words of the message were something like ‘I know this is a long shot and probably won’t work, but if you’re interested…’ Honestly I didn’t think it was going to work.â€
Walang nakuhang sagot si Charlie makalipas ang ilang linggo. Nag-iisip na siya ng ibang plano ngunit bigla siyang nakatanggp ng message.
“I think his reply was literally like five words like ‘I’m down, what’s the plan?†ani Charlie .
Nag-tweet si Westbrook sa girlfriend ni Charlie.
