Ipinakikita ng Junior Altas tossers ang kani-kanilang medalya matapos makopo ang back-to-back title sa Imus Volleyball League.

MANILA, Philippines — Pinataob ng University of Perpetual Help Junior Altas volleyball team ang De La Salle-Zobel, 25-20, 25-18, 20-25, 25-19 upang sungkitin ang kanilang back-to-back title sa Imus Volleyball League (IVL) nitong weekend sa Imus Sports Center sa Imus City, Cavite.

Nagpakita ng katatagan ang NCAA 5-peat junior champions Junior Altas sa fourth set para itakas ang ikalawang sunod na korona matapos mabigong angkinin ang panalo sa straight sets.

Bukod sa malaking tropeo, inangkin din ng Cebuano setter na si Dominique Gabito ang MVP award habang ang kanyang teammate na si Derick Garmono ay tinanghal bilang 1st Best Open Spiker at 2nd Best Open Spiker si Andrei Espejo ng DLS-Zobel.

Ang iba pang awardees ng Las Piñas-based team ay sina Kerth Patrick Rosos bilang Best Blocker at si Von Marata ang Best Opposite Spiker at Best Setter si Dominique Gabito.

“It was a great game, salute to DLS Zobel Team for giving us a good game specially to coach Micheal Cariño, and to my team, Congratulations to us for the Championship trophy,” sabi ni Perpetual Help coach Sandy Rieta.

Sa kanilang panalo, nakatanggap ang Junior Altas ng P30,000 top prize mula sa host Imus City Government habang ang 1st runner-up DLS-Zobel ay nag-uwi ng P20,000 cash prize at P10,000 prize naman sa second runner-up DLSU-Lipa.
