SBP pinuri ang UAAP sa tagumpay ng 3x3 event

MANILA, Philippines — Pinuri ng Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) ang matagumpay na pagtataguyod ng University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) ng 3x3 tournament noong Marso 2 hanggang 3 sa Ayala Malls Feliz sa Pasig City.                 

Ayon kay SBP President Al Panlilio, malaking tulong ang ginawa ng UAAP upang mas lalo pang palawakin ang popularidad ng sport sa bansa.

“The alignment forged by the UAAP 3x3 organizers with the SBP is what we’ve been actively espousing. We are very pleased that the UAAP 3x3 with their 3x3 commissioner Xavier Nunag and SBP 3x3 program head Ronnie Magsanoc were able to establish a strong link and partnership that benefitted our country in our goal to generate as many points as possible,” ani Panlilio.

Ang 3x3 ay isa nang Olympic sport.

At malaki ang posibilidad na makakuha ng medalya ang Pilipinas sa naturang disiplina sa mga susunod na edisyon ng quadrennial meet.

Kaya naman tiwala si Magsanoc na magtutuluy-tuloy ang programa ng UAAP na isa sa posibleng maging daan upang makakuha ng mga manlalaro para sa 3x3 national team.

“On behalf of the SBP, we are grateful to the UAAP for helping the national program of the 3x3. Some of the best and brightest 3x3 players traced their roots in the UAAP,” ani  Magsanoc.
