MANILA, Philippines - Matapos ang injury noong nakaraang season ay unti-unti nang bumabalik ang gilas ni Kiefer Ravena.

Sa unang dalawang panalo ng Ateneo De Manila University ay kumamada si Ravena ng pinagsamang 51 points para pangunahan ang Blue Eagles sa 2-0 record sa 77th UAAP men’s basketball tournament.

“It was one summer of really working hard. It also pays off na nasa kondis­yon ka,” wika ng 6-foot-1 na si Ravena, hinirang na UAAP Press Corps-ACCEL Quantum Plus/316 Player of the Week.

Naglista si Ravena, dating UAAP Rookie of the Year winner, ng mga averages na 25.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3 assists at 2.5 steals per game sa nasabing dalawang laro.

Sa 97-86 panalo ng Ateneo sa nagdedepensang De La Salle University noong Linggo ay humugot si Ravena, anak ni dating PBA guard Bong Ravena, ng 14 sa kanyang career-high na 29 points sa fourth quarter.

Ipinalasap ng Eagles ang ikalawang sunod na kamalasan ng Green Archers.

“It’s a good win definitely. We really stepped up,” dagdag pa  ni  Ravena.

“Natalo namin ang defending champions but that does not say anything. It’s not that times two yung panalo kapag tinalo mo ang defending champion. It’s still 2-0.”

Sa 79-57 paglampaso ng Ateneo laban sa Adam­son University sa pagbubukas ng komperensya noong Hulyo 13 ay nagtumpok si Ravena ng 22 points.

Tinalo ni Ravena para sa weekly citation na supor­tado ng Bactigel hand sanitizer, Doctor J alcohol at Mighty Mom anti-bacteria sina Roi Sumang ng University of the East at Gelo Alolino ng National University.
