Two government-owned vehicles seen parked in a "No Parking" zone

- The Ear -

Government Violates Own Rules? An Ear informer said he spotted two white vehicles with government plates illegally parked along J. Solon St. in front of a hotel at 3:30PM yesterday. The informer raised questions, like what business these two vehicles were doing, and during working hours at that. The other question was the audacity of these government vehicle drivers to illegally park at an area lined with “No Parking” and “No Stopping Anytime” signs clearly visible. He said, “Naa gyud sa tungod sa ‘No Parking’ sign ni park ning duha ka puti nga sakyanan nga naay red plates. Exempted ba sila aning balaod?”

Even With Tanod Around. The Ear informer also said that the barangay tanod that is always stationed in front of the hotel didn’t object to the traffic violations done by these two government-owned vehicles. When the informer asked a vendor nearby, he said, “Dili man mamadlong ang tanod sa mamarking diri. Daghan man gani maglinya nga taxi diri dapita, dili ra man sitahon sa tanod.” This made the informer comment: “Kung mao ni, maypa tang-tangon na lang nang mga ‘No Parking’ signs dihang dapita kay walay pulos.”
