Most wanted fugitive nabbed

MANILA, Philippines — The most wanted fugitive in Metro Manila was arrested in Tondo on Friday night, the Quezon City Police District announced.
The QCPD operatives arrested the 25-year-old suspect, identified only as Marcelito, along Isla Puting Bato Street in Barangay 20. He is wanted for murder and robbery.
Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio, QCPD director, said courts in Caloocan and Quezon cities issued the warrants of arrest against Marcelito who is among 29 people arrested by tracker teams.
The teams also arrested the seventh most wanted person in Quezon City, identified only as Edgardo, in his house in Barangay Bagong Silangan. Edgardo is wanted for frustrated homicide.
“The arrests clearly prove that our anti-criminality operations are continuous, active and unending,” Silvio said in Filipino in a statement.
He added that the tracker teams continue with its search for other people wanted for their involvement in illegal drugs and possession of firearms.
