MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has declared special non-working days in five areas in Luzon to allow residents to participate in local celebrations.

Proclamation 1207 declared April 20 a special non-working day in Tarlac City for the celebration of its 28th Charter anniversary on April 19.

“The office of the mayor requested that April 20 be declared a special non-working day in lieu of April 19, which falls on a Sunday,” the proclamation read.

April 20 will also be a special non-working day in Alfonso Castañeda in Nueva Vizcaya as provided under Proclamation 1208 for the celebration of the town’s founding anniversary.

Proclamation 1209 declared April 23 a special non-working day in Plaridel, Bulacan for the commemoration of the Battle of Quingua, one of the most significant victories of the Filipinos in the Philippine-American war.

Proclamations 1210 and 1211 declared April 25 a special non-working day in Infanta, Quezon and in the entire province of Nueva Ecija, respectively, which will mark their founding anniversaries.
