MANILA, Philippines — Transport Secretary Giovanni Lopez has relieved a station manager of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) over another signage blunder.

“The action of the station supervisor involved was not authorized by MRT-3 management. This was immediately stopped the moment the management learned about it,” the rail management said in a statement.  

The station manager was referred to the MRT-3 disciplinary committee for investigation and corresponding sanctions.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) also apologized to the MRT-3 personnel who were asked to carry the poster.

“We assure our commuters that corrective measures are being undertaken to prevent similar incidents from happening again,” the DOTr said.
