MANILA, Philippines — The Taguig City police has a new officer-in-charge (OIC) in the person of Col. Julius Añonuevo.

Añonuevo replaced Col. Byron Allatog, who served as city police chief for six months only.

Prior to his appointment, Añonuevo was Albay provincial police director.

He also served as police chief of Batangas City and commander of the Manila Police District’s Mobile Force Battalion.

Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano expressed gratitude to Allatog for embarking on a “productive tenure” as Taguig police OIC.

“Your commitment and service have made a difference in our community,” Cayetano said in a statement.
