Second suspect in killing of man in hotel falls

MANILA, Philippines — The second suspect in the killing of a 31-year-old man in a hotel in Quezon City was arrested in San Rafael, Bulacan yesterday.
The victim’s motorcycle was also recovered in Barangay Lapidario in Trece Martires City, Cavite.
Col. Randy Glenn Silvio, Quezon City Police District officer-in-charge, said Micheal Erick Martin was apprehended by pursuing QCPD operatives and would be charged for robbery with homicide and violation of the Anti-Carnapping Act.
Silvio said a room attendant of Clixs Hotel, identified only as Anthony, was also arrested for obstruction of justice.
Investigators traced Martin’s location after his cohort, James Angelo Figueroa, was apprehended during a pursuit in Caloocan City on Friday.
Silvio said Martin had previous cases for violation of Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act, and RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
