Taguig postpones color run for PWDs

MANILA, Philippines — The city government of Taguig has postponed a color run for persons with disabilities (PWDs) today due to inclement weather.

The local government said the event, which was supposed to be held at Arca South District, Barangay West Bicutan, was reset to July 23.

“The decision to postpone the event was made with the safety and welfare of all participating persons with disabilities in mind,” the city government said.

The color run would mark the start of the 45th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week.

According to the city government, the event seeks to “create awareness on the importance of physical and mental health for all kinds of people and to show that disability doesn’t make one less of a person.”
