Power interruption in Taguig today

MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Taguig will have no power today because of line reconstruction works by the Manila Electric Co., according to city hall.

On Facebook, the city government announced that power interruptions may occur in parts of Barangay Bagong Tanyag: portions of North Daang Hari Subdivision, including San Isidro Labrador Chapel and North Daang Hari barangay hall.

The power interruption is expected between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. today.

“Residents are advised to charge all important electronic devices before the said maintenance in case of an emergency. Please be guided accordingly,” city hall said.

Meanwhile, the city government, in its 12-hour forecast, said the heat index yesterday was expected at a “very hot” 46 degrees Celsius, with a 34 degrees Celsius air temperature and 60 percent relative humidity, according to data from the Taguig Open Weather and Environmental Reporting System.

The city government advised residents to stay indoors and stay hydrated due to the heat.
