MANILA, Philippines — Two Chinese men and a Filipina were apprehended for alleged possession of drugs valued at P6.81 million during a sting in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig on Monday.

Yang Tao, 29; Kun Yang, 26, and Faith Suniga, 18, were arrested by anti-narcotics officers at the parking lot of The Fort Strip at around 10:30 p.m., the Southern Police District (SPD) said in a report.

The suspects yielded at least one kilo of shabu, which they reportedly sold to a police officer for P1.2 million.

Police said they also recovered from the suspects 9.5 grams of marijuana and 100 Chinese magu tablets.

SPD director Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft said the suspects were members of the Yang drug ring, which operates not only in Taguig but also in Makati, Muntinlupa, Pasig and Pasay.

Kraft said the suspects were under surveillance for about three months prior to their arrest.

Police also confiscated from the suspects a sport utility vehicle and a car, which they used in the drug trade.

The suspects are being held on charges of drug trafficking.
