MANILA, Philippines — First Lady Louise “ Liza ”Araneta-Marcos yesterday led the launching of “Kadiwa ng Pasko” in Parañaque City, which seeks to provide a market for local agricultural producers while at the same time giving the public access to affordable and high quality products.

Marcos was joined by Mayor Eric Olivarez, 1st District Rep. Edwin Olivarez, Trade and Industry Assistant Secretary Dominic Tolentino Jr. and Vice Mayor Joan Villafuerte during the opening of the caravan.

The project was launched in coordination with the Department of Agriculture to address inflation by providing the people with affordable goods, especially during the Christmas season.

Support agencies include the Departments of Trade and Industry, Interior and Local Government, Social Welfare and Development as well as Labor and Employment.

The program aims to provide a market for local farmers and fishermen for their produce as well as small business enterprises selling basic necessities.
