MANILA, Philippines — The Ateneo de Manila Law School Class of 1998 will be hosting this year’s Grand Alumni Homecoming on Nov. 25 at the Centennial Hall of Manila Hotel.

The homecoming, dubbed “True Blue in ’22,” honors the Ateneo Law classes of 1962, 1972, 1982 and 1997.

Several alumni from these classes have helped shape the legal landscape of the Philippines, including retired Associate Justice Adolfo Azcuna of the Supreme Court and the late Fr. Joaquin Bernas, SJ, eminent constitutionalist, former president and dean emeritus of the Ateneo de Manila University.

The event promises to be a joyous reunion for many alumni, who are looking forward to celebrating in-person again after two years of virtual gatherings due to the pandemic. This year’s entertainment includes a live performance by timeless pop band Side A.

In keeping with the Ignatian creed of being “men and women for others,” the homecoming will not only be a fun occasion, but also an opportunity to raise funds for the scholarship program of the Ateneo Law Alumni Association Inc.

The platinum sponsors of the event are San Miguel Corp., National Grid Corp. of the Philippines, Cruz Marcelo & Tenefrancia Law Firm, Quisumbing Torres Law Firm. Medialdea Bello & Suarez Law Firm, Angara Abello Concepcion Regalla & Cruz Law Offices, New World Diagnostics, Rep. Richard Gomez and Mayor Lucy Torres-Gomez, Misibis Bay Resort, Thunderbird Resort and Casinos, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp., Movers and Managers Corp., Optimum Enforcement Manufacturing Inc., Oriental Group, Technolux Equipment and Supply Corp., Textra Corp., Pascual Laboratories and Jobe Nkemakolam are the gold sponsors.

The silver sponsors are Gerodias Suchianco Estrella Law Firm, Sycip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan Law Firm, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Rang-Ay Eco-Adventure and Resort, B2B Technologies, Romorcon Gaming OPC and Jay Khemani.
