MANILA, Philippines — The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) yesterday called on the public to join today’s nationwide simultaneous earthquake drill.

The ceremonial pressing of a button signaling the start of the drill will be held at 9 a.m. in Legazpi Village, Makati in partnership with the city government and Ayala Corp.

The OCD said a program would begin an hour earlier before the Third Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill.

The government previously conducted online earthquake drills because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The OCD asked the public to still follow health protocols during the earthquake drill.
