Businesswoman shot dead

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — A businesswoman was gunned down in Barangay Talogtog in Dolores, Abra on Wednesday.

Jennifer Belong, 35, owner of Janice Pancitan, and her three daughters were having snacks in the canteen when three men entered and ordered noodles.

When the noodles were served, one of the men pulled out a gun and shot Belong several times. The three fled on foot.

Belong was taken to the St. Theresa Wellness Center and later transferred to the Abra Provincial Hospital, where she died while being treated.

Probers still have no leads on the motive for the killing.
