MANILA, Philippines — From only five on Thursday, the number of active COVID-19 cases in the Philippine National Police (PNP) rose to 20 yesterday.

“Please help us disseminate, ang pag-observe ng minimum public health standards ng ating constituents,” PNP public information officer Brig. Gen. Roderick Augustus Alba told reporters in a Viber message.

The PNP recorded 17 new cases with two recoveries yesterday.

The death toll remains at 128.

Up to  221,923 police personnel have been fully vaccinated while 145,028 have received their booster shots.

A total of 2,164 PNP members are waiting for their second dose while 608 remain unvaccinated.
