Active COVID-19 cases in San Juan down to 7
MANILA, Philippines — From nearly 2,000 in January, there are only seven active COVID-19 cases in San Juan, the city government reported yesterday.
The figure is lower by 99.64 percent compared to 1,947 infections documented on Jan. 12, when COVID-19 cases in the city peaked due to the Omicron variant.
Fourteen of the 21 barangays in San Juan are already COVID-free, according to Mayor Francis Zamora.
The barangays with active cases are Addition Hills, Greenhills, Isabelita, Kabayanan, Pedro Cruz, Progreso and San Perfecto with one each.
The local government has embarked on a house-to-house vaccination drive to administer booster shots to residents who wish to receive them.
Zamora said residents need to show their vaccination card, which should indicate that it has been three months since their last dose.
