2 suspects caught with P40.8 million shabu
MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics officers recovered an estimated P40.8 million worth of shabu from two suspected drug traffickers in Makati on Wednesday night.
Bryan Salceda, 26, and Jermo Gaje, 27, both residents of Pasay, allegedly yielded around six kilos of shabu.
Salceda and Gaje were apprehended by operatives of the Drug Enforcement Group during a sting along Hilario street in Barangay Palanan at around 7:30 p.m., DEG director Brig. Gen. Remus Medina said.
Police arrested the suspects after they allegedly accepted the marked money from a lawman who posed as a buyer.
The suspects also yielded a cell phone, which they used during the drug transaction.
Police said charges of drug trafficking would be filed against the suspects.
