5 more Pinoys abroad die of COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines — Five more Filipinos abroad succumbed to COVID-19, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported yesterday.
The agency said the new fatalities brought the death toll to 1,168.
The DFA recorded 24 new COVID-19 infections and four recoveries.
The number of COVID-19 cases among Filipinos overseas increased to 18,658 as of yesterday. The number of patients who survived the disease rose to 11,400.
A total of 6,090 Filipinos infected with the virus are still undergoing treatment, the DFA said.
