MANILA, Philippines — Two suspected drug pushers were killed and around 15 kilos of shabu with an estimated street value of P102 million were seized in a sting in Taytay, Rizal on Tuesday night.

One of the fatalities was identified only as Alvin.

Philippine National Police chief Gen. Debold Sinas said the slain suspects and their cohort, a certain Joey, drew their guns when they sensed they had sold a kilo of shabu worth P1.5 million to undercover agents in Barangay Sta. Ana at around 11:55 p.m.

Sinas said Alvin was a distributor of Michael Lucas, who was arrested in a police operation in Dasmariñas, Cavite on Monday that led to the recovery of 10 kilos of shabu valued at P68 million.

“He is also one of the cohorts of a drug ring that is connected to a
certain Chinese national based in Hong Kong,” Sinas said.

In Cavite, police said Arnold Pacil was killed and yielded 25 grams of shabu valued at P170,000 in a sting in Barangay San Nicolas II in Bacoor yesterday.

At least 500 grams of shabu worth P3.4 million were allegedly recovered from Mary Grace Sison in Barangay Loma de Gato in Marilao, Bulacan.

Another P3.4 million worth of shabu was reportedly recovered from Ian Von Alegria and Hannah Reina Ledon in Barangay Kauswagan in Cagayan de Oro on Tuesday.

In Basilan and Tawi-Tawi, P5.8 million worth of shabu was seized, also on Tuesday. Alvin Indanan was killed while Hassan and Mudzna Hawaan and Mannan Muhadio were arrested.

Police said 60 grams of shabu worth P408,000 were confiscated from Katchan Irizumi in Barangay 8 in Batangas City while P204,000 worth of shabu was seized from John Cedric Villapando and Sharia Ann Gomez in Barangay San Vicente in San Pablo, Laguna. – Ramon Efren Lazaro, John Unson, Ric Sapnu
