Navotas shuts down barangay hall

Marc Jayson Cayabyab - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — A barangay hall in Navotas was placed on lockdown yesterday due to four cases of COVID-19, Mayor Toby Tiangco said.

In an executive order, Tiangco said the barangay hall of Barangay San Jose would be on lockdown until Saturday.

Four of the 96 personnel of the barangay have tested positive for COVID-19.

Tiangco said the barangay hall was shut down to prevent the spread of the virus to the transacting public.

The barangay hall employees are exempted from reporting to work during the lockdown, he said.
