BACOLOD CITY, Philippines –  A drug suspect was found dead in Barangay Mansilingan in this city on Wednesday.

Richard Tutop, 32, who bore gunshot wounds in the head, was hogtied while his mouth was covered with packing tape, according to Maj. Carmelo Nermal, Station 7 police chief.

Nermal said two sachets of shabu were recovered from the victim.

Unidentified men reportedly snatched Tutop on Wednesday along Gatuslao street and forced him into a van.

Lt. Col. Ariel Pico, Bacolod City police spokesman, said the victim was recently released from jail under a plea bargaining agreement.

Meanwhile, P3.5 million worth of shabu was recovered from five drug suspects, in Barangay Zone 10, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

Two of those arrested, Maria Parohinog, 22, and Johanna Lusabia, 20, are ”high-value” drug suspects, police said.

Col. Romeo Baleros, Negros Occidental police director, said the suspects are all members of the Divinagracia drug ring.

In Cotabato City, half a kilo of shabu with an estimated street value of P3.4 million was seized from Joharie Adam Talib and his wife Rahma.
