Girl 12, attacked crocodile in Palawan

PALAWAN, Philippines — A 12-year-old girl survived a crocodile attack in Balabac, Palawan on Friday.

Hainas Lisa Habi suffered wounds on her right leg and is recuperating in a hospital, Lt. Col. Socrates Faltado, Mimaropa police spokesman, said.

Initial investigation showed Habi and her brother were crossing a creek on their way home when the crocodile attacked her in Barangay Poblacion at around 6:30 p.m.

“The victim struggled to fight the crocodile,” Faltado said.
