January 16 declared special non-working holiday in Batangas City

MANILA, Philippines — It is a special non-working holiday in Batangas City today.

By authority of President Duterte, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea signed Proclamation 647 last week declaring the holiday for the celebration of the Tourism and Cultural Day and fiesta.

“It is but fitting and proper that the people of the city of Batangas be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies,” Medialdea said.
