Drug war: 3 shot dead in Batangas stings

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Three drug suspects on the watchlist of the Batangas police were killed in alleged shootouts with police officers on Sunday night.

Randy Topacio, Abraham Awat and Roderick Fajilan drew their guns when the sensed they had sold shabu to police officers who posed as buyers in Barangay Lodlod, Lipa City; Tugtug, San Jose, and Fajilan, Sta. Clara, Batangas City, respectively, accordimg to Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police director.
