3 killed in Koronadal road mishap

KORONADAL CITY, Philippines - Three were killed Thursday when their vehicle collided head-on with a bigger soda delivery truck at an accident-prone stretch here of the Koronadal-Gen. Santos Highway.

The accident involved a Kia Bongo Frontier ¾ tonner truck and a bigger delivery six-wheeler truck of the Coco Cola Bottling Company.

The driver and two crew men of the smaller truck were killed on the spot.

Police probers said the Kia light truck, loaded with dried fish, hit the Coca Cola delivery truck, coming from the opposite end of the Koronadal-Gen. Santos Highway, while trying to overtake another vehicle.

The driver of the Kia truck and his two crewmen all died on the spot.
