Inmate found dead

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A 60-year-old detainee was found dead in his cell at the San Pedro city jail yesterday.

Teodulfo Tagulao, a drug suspect, was found unconscious by the jail’s duty guard around 6 a.m., according to Superintendent Ericson Dilag, San Pedro police chief.

Tagulao was pronounced dead on arrival in a hospital.

Dilag said he ordered the autopsy of the victim and an investigation to determine if there was foul play.
