School exec shot dead

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – A principal of a public high school was shot dead by an unidentified assailant in Jolo, Sulu on Saturday night. 

Edwin Saraji, 41, of the Luuk National High School, died at the scene from several gunshot wounds, according to Brig. Gen. Alan Arrojado, chief of the Joint Task Group Sulu.

Investigators said the victim was driving his car when the assailant waylaid him at past 7 p.m. in Barangay San Raymundo.

Police are eyeing work and personal issues as among the motives for the killing.
