LPA off Samar dissipates

Ghio Ong, Helen Flores - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The low-pressure area east of Catarman, Northern Samar dissipated yesterday but the public can still expect partly cloudy skies with localized thunderstorms in the next three days, the weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said easterlies or warm air from the Pacific Ocean will be the dominant weather system in the next few days.

PAGASA warned of hotter temperatures in the coming days due to the easterlies.

PAGASA weather division chief Robert Sawi said the temperature in Metro Manila could hit 37 degrees Celsius before the end of the month.

PAGASA said the whole country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
