Cops nab suspect in Zamboanga trader's kidnapping

ZAMBOANGA CITY - Policemen have arrested one of the suspects in the kidnapping of a businessman during an operation in Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.

Police said the suspect as Omar Antao Wahab, 25, a resident of Barangay Malambuhangin, was arrested last Friday in Barangay Bucana.

Police said that Wahab acted as a lookout of the six gunmen who seized Michael Co, a businessman.

Co was taken by the gunmen from a Petron gasoline station in Barangay Barangay Poblacion last April 1.

Investigator said that Wahab has been placed under tactical interrogation.

Authorities said there are reports that the kidnappers have contacted the Co family.
