Roxanne on Vhong rape case: 'I have a lot of hate'

Camille Diola - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Rape complainant Roxanne said she believes in what she is fighting for in lodging a rape complaint against television host Vhong Navarro.

Roxanne, a former beauty pageant contestant, expressed resentment that she is being tagged as the villain wanting to see her alleged perpetrator in jail.

"Totoo naman 'yung pinaglalaban ko. Tapos lumalabas na ako pa 'yung masama," Roxanne said upon arriving at the Pasig City Prosecutor's Office on Thursday for the preliminary investigation of the case.

Roxanne was looking for Navarro at the hearing, but the actor did not appear and was only represented by his lawyer, Alma Mallonga.

Disappointed that Navarro did not show up, Roxanne challenged the comedian to face her and the allegations squarely.

"May ginawa siyang kasalanan sa 'kin. Ni-rape niya ako. So that's it. I have a lot of hate inside right now and I'm very emotional, so I want to see that guy," Roxanne told reporters in a televised ambush interview.

"I'm expecting him today ... I want to see him," she said.

Navarro submitted a counter-affidavit of alleged witnesses who claimed that he was performing in a concert on April 24, 2010 date when the abuse allegedly occurred.

Roxanne said that she did not mention a specific date in her affidavit, explaining that it could have happened around the date of April 24.

Navarro also faces a rape complaint filed by commercial model Deniece Cornejo following her friend Cedric Lee's assault on Navarro in January.
