Kagawad bet in Tabuk brings gun to polling precinct

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet  – A barangay kagawad bet in Tabuk City, Kalinga was arrested by policemen Monday morning after he brought his caliber .45 pistol inside the Calanan Elementary School in Calanan, Tabuk City, Kalinga.

Romulo Gappud, was nabbed by Tabuk City policemen who were alerted by residents after the candidate was seen with his firearm entering the polling area at around 7:15 a.m. Monday.

Also seized from the barangay bet was a magazine for his pistol loaded with nine bullets.

Tabuk City policemen said they will sue the barangay bet.
