Twister hits Negros village

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – Eleven houses were damaged when a twister hit two remote areas in Barangay Pinagimpinan in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental Thursday.

No one was reported hurt in the incident as damage to property was placed at P100,000 according to Barangay chairman Samuel Carrera.

Carrera said the twister uprooted trees and destroyed sugarcane farms as it struck Sitios Asoc and Langka following  a 45-minute downpour at about 2:30 p.m.
