DENR to assist 5 towns on land titling

MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) is set to fast-track land titling in at least five towns in Lanao del Norte and Misamis Oriental.

DENR-Region 10 executive director Ruth Tawantawan said the five municipalities that signed a memorandum of partnership agreement with the DENR regional office to undertake land titling activities are Lala, Kolambugan, Kauswagan and Tubod, all in Lanao del Norte, and Gitagum town in Misamis Oriental.

Tawantawan said the new partnerships bring to 15 the number of local governments willing to bring land services to communities through such memoranda.
