Couple, son nabbed over drug peddling

ZAMBOANGA CITY - - A couple and their son were arrested in a buy bust operations as combined law enforcement agencies and the military waged war against the proliferation of illegal drugs in Basilan, a police officer said.

Sr. Supt. Mario Dapilloza, Basilan provincial police commander, said the spouses Abdulla Musa, his wife Nursiya,  and son Niskan were arrested by the team of Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force-Basilan  (PAIDSOTF-B) in Barangay Port Holland, Maluso town, Basilan late Wednesday afternoon.

Dapilloza said a narcotics agent posed as buyer during the buy bust operation, leading to the suspects' arrest.

The operatives recovered from the suspects a caliber .25mm Titan, an Italian made pistol, a plastic sachet containing white crystalline suspected to be shabu, a digital weighing scale, and the marked money amounting to P300.00 that was used in the buy bust operation.

Dapilloza said the arrest of the couple and their son was part of their war against illegal drugs in the province.
