Arrest warrants issued vs. 10 Aman Futures officials

A Pagadian City court on Friday issued warrants of arrest against the 10 officials of the investment firm Aman Futures Group Philippines Inc. in connection with the P12-billion pyramiding scam last year.

The Pagadian City Regional Trial Court Branch 20 ordered the arrest of Manuel Amalilio, Fernando Luna, Lelian Lim Gan, Eduard Lim, Wilanie Fuentes, Naezelle Rodriguez, Lurix Lopez, Nimfa Luna, Darwin Wenceslao and Dona Coyme.

On Friday, the Department of Justice said it has filed two counts of syndicated estafa against the 10 Aman Futures officials before the Pagadian City court.

However, the DOJ exonerated Aman Future's counsel and corporate secretary, Isagani Laluna for lack of evidence.

The case stemmed from the complaints of investors who alleged that the firm has swindled them of more than P90 million last year.
