'Big time' drug dealer nabbed in Cavite

MANILA, Philippines - Anti-narcotics agents have arrested a suspected big time pusher during a sting operation in Cavite province, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said on Wednesday. 

PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac, Jr. said operatives apprehended Monik Alonzo, 38 , of Datu Ismael, Dasmariñas City, Cavite during a buy-bust operation last Jan. 8 in a parking area along Aguinaldo Highway, Brgy. Salitran 2, Dasmariñas.

Agents seized from Alonzo a sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, weighing approximately 50 grams with an estimated market value of P250,000.

Also recovered was a cellular phone which the suspect used in her illegal drug transactions.
