Barangay chairman shot dead in N. Ecija

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga  – Unidentified armed men on a motorcycle gunned down a barangay chairman in Nueva Ecija, Wednesday. 

In a belated report, Senior Superintendent Walter Castillejos, Nueva Ecija police director, said Alvin Libunao, 39, of Barangay Sta. Lucia, Guimba town suffered several gunshot wounds. 

Castillejos said Libunao was shot a few meters away from his house after his companions Joey Vengco and Rodolfo Corpus dropped him off after a drinking spree.  

The victim suffered six gunshot wounds in different parts of the body.
